Going into business is a scary thing so it might seem easier to embark into the venture with someone you already know and trust...but is it easier?
We've all heard the horror stories of friendships gone wrong simply by turning a social relationship into a business relationship. You can love your friend but not their work ethic. This is something hard to see in a person until you work with them. We all have those friends that always have it altogether and seem to be really excelling at this thing we call life. Little do we know that they could have thousands of dollars in credit card debt, their house is about to get foreclosed on and they have no retirement plan. Finances are not talked about freely because frankly it is nobody else's business. However if you are going into business with someone it is very much your business.
There is another kind of friendship that makes that transition a little less complicated... a co-worker or someone who you have done business with. This relationship is almost the best of both worlds, you get someone you know and you also know of how they work. However you might not know they personally and that can create another challenge.
