She is known for collaborating and leading on many projects including the award winning Shuswap Launch- a- Preneur, an exciting start up competition and more recently, Alberta Northern Rockies Tourism Alliance Destination Management Plan. Internationally, Kim has volunteered with FCMi encouraging municipalities in Colombia, S.A. to work collaboratively on initiatives in tourism, entrepreneurial development, and investment attraction. Currently, Kimberley supports regional economic development initiatives at the Central Alberta Economic Partnership, locally known as CAEP- one of Alberta’s 11 Regional Economic Development Alliances. This work supports her academic research on whether or not smaller municipalities can or should play in the global economy.
She lives in Sylvan Lake with her son, Alex and moyen poodle, Ruthie. In their spare time, Kim supports her son’s entrepreneurial spirit, his love for soccer, and occasionally sneaks in a good dose of Netflix.
